[ RECIPE ] Parapara Rawon Chahan (Rawon Fried Rice)

by - Thursday, November 08, 2018

The strong taste of rawon soup to be combined with rice will create a perfect fried rice. You won’t need any more yummy dish than this Parapara Rawon Chahan on your plate.

(Last week, I’ve shared 2 parapara chahan recipes, this time I’ll still post another Parapara Chahan recipe, but using rawon soup (Indonesian Beef Black Soup). Since there is little amount of rawon soup left, and I couldn’t throw it away, so it’s better turning it into Parapara  fried rice. The recipe is similar with the previous ones, I only add rawon soup and sliced fried tofu. I’ve tried this recipe twice, and it’s completely yummy. For me, this Parapara Rawon Chahan tasted stronger than the previous fried rice I ever made)

Parapara Rawon Chahan ( Rawon Fried Rice )
For : 1 serving
Prep time : 15 mins
Cooking time : 20 mins
Total time : 35 mins

Ingredients :
1 plate cooked rice
1 egg
1 sausage
1 clove garlic
2 slices fried tofu
1 sausage
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoon rawon soup
Scallion (green part only)
Sesame oil

Directions :
1. Beat an egg, then pour into cooked rice. Mix well. Add 3 tablespoons of rawon soup. Stir, set aside.
2. Chop garlic and scallion. Cut sausage and fried tofu into pieces. I cut fried tofu into smaller pieces.
3. Set pan on high heat. Pour sesame oil, then sautee garlic until fragrant. Pour mixed rice, stir well to remove the moist. It needs longer time to get the fried rice texture because of the soup.
4. Add sausage and fried tofu. Stir well.
5. Adjust the taste by salt and pepper.
6. Remove from the heat. Serve with chopped scalion.
